To all:
It ocurred to me that it might be a good idea when welcoming
somebody to the group to tack on some relevant contact info
at the end of the note - something like that below:
These are in no particular order, nor is this comprhensive.
(Age is optional for those of you who like to keep us guessing.)
Dan Servatius, Age 40, Minnesota: Maps & Co-web author
mailto:elf@pclink.com
Shannon Green, Age 24?, TEXAS: Rubber Stamps & Mail art
mailto:sgreen@wf.net
Mitch Klink, Age 37? (going on 7), Oregon: Kids & Co-web author
mailto:letterboxr@aol.com
Bob & Mary Ellen Summer, Ages 32&30?, Alaska: Teaching & Hiking
mailto:positive@alaska.net
Anyhoo, you get the picture. You see what I am looking for.
For anyone who wants to be introduced to newcomers, let
me know your relevant info (just these basic things please).
I will make up a sheet that can be used for this purpose.
I think this would be a nice gesture for newcomers.
Thank you,
Dan'l
Ps. If you're 12 and your specialty is reading comic books
do tell. That's important. You'll probably do the first
Spiderman letterbox walk. Likewise if you're 80 and your
specialty is observing life through the window of your front
porch please share that as well as its important. You're
all important in some way or other.

Daniel, I have been lurking here for a couple of weeks. I live in
central NY and I hope to
place some boxes in different areas of the state; Finger lakes,
Adirondacks, Tug Hill,(after the snow
melts in April) and maybe in the Catskills. Until the snow melts I will
work on stamp carving. I am
not very artistic but I am getting the hang of it. I like the website
and this is the most active list
I have ever belonged to. Here is my profile:
Todd Brown, Age 35, New York: Hiking, backpacking, Cub scout leader.

Hey Todd:
Welcome aboard -
Altho I'm from VT, my wife's family is from the Hudson Valley area of NY
(in-laws actually placed a box last fall, but its not up yet).
I'm just getting back into souting via the cubs as well.
Don't let bveing "very artistic" get in the way - its a state of mind
process as much as it is a end-product endeavor - the latter will come
in its own good time (likely sooner than later).
